IDEA DEVELOPMENT

The idea of "Half My Crescent" is based on the theme "Growth". The process of growth is never an easy task.
But first, we ask ourselves what is growth?

What is growth?

Growth is a lifelong process of expanding self-awareness and accepting new challenges.
According to Humanistic psychology, striving for growth exists but is not an automatic process. This kind of invisible growth expands our frame of reference to include the people around us instead of becoming more self-centered.
Personal growth has a profound effect on every single aspect of our life. As we grow on a personal level, we begin to feel more passionate about life in general. We are naturally more motivated because learning and growing add motivation and a sense of excitement.
However, according to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, the idea of self-actualization comes after when we satisfy our desire for security and dependence, so we believe that in order to have self-actualization, the balance between isolation and relationship with others is very important. Having meaningful relationships affect our decision making and mindset, and if we rely on it too much, there is a temptation to let others decide for us.
Dependent personality disorder (DPD) is a personality disorder that is characterized by a pervasive psychological dependence on other people. This personality disorder is a long-term condition in which people depend on others to meet their emotional and physical needs, with only a minority achieving normal levels of independence.
Although not all of us suffer from this mental illness, learning how to gain independence is an essential stage in our personal growth.
